Bury Our Differences Not Each Other

No Surrender

LINFIELD FOOTBALL & ATHLETIC CLUB was founded in March 1886 in the Sandy Row area of South Belfast by a group of millworkers-the club is now the largest and most successful football club on the entire island of Ireland. The club's home stadium,Windsor Park,is the largest in Northern Ireland and serves as 'home' for the national team.Linfield command the largest and most fanatical support of any club, north or south of the Irish border, with regular crowds of over 7,000-quite an achievement for a 'part-time' club in these days when many teams have to endure fickle 'fair weather fans'!

Linfield's home strip consists of royal blue shirts, white shorts and royal blue socks-hence Linfield came to be known in footballing circles as 'The Blues'-a name which the club proudly own to this day.
